Just as the AFL-CIO is calling for us to call 1-888-355-3588
and speak to our congresspersons against CAFTA, comes this note:
Action & More Action!
Demonstration for Democracy
5 PM Wednesday, April 27
Earle Cabell Federal Building
1100 Commerce St.
Dallas TX 75202
Simultaneous protests in Tyler, Ft Worth, and hundreds of other sites
This will be a peaceful demonstration in support of fair
judges and against Frist's "nuclear option," which they intend
to use to push through extremists to lifetime appointments. Our federal
court house is at Commerce and Griffin, with plenty of space to form
a band of demonstrators around the front, side, and back of the building.
Feel free to bring signs, flags, or anything else that
represents freedom and justice. Let's remind Congress that citizens
care about our justice system, and we should be a higher priority than
corporate interests. Local and federal authorities have been informed
that we're coming.
