Health Care Rally Being Planned

At our last two Jobs with Justice meetings, we have expressed our determination to make the health care issue prominent in North Texas. After the July meeting, I asked Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson's office if she might be available to help with a health care action.

There is no better public figure than Congresswoman when it comes to the health care issue. As a nurse, she knows full well what the problems are and how to solve them. As always, she graciously agreed to help. She will be available in late afternoon of August 21.

Judy Bryant of Alliance/AFT and I are discussing our options. It is probably too hot to hold any kind of outdoor event, consequently, we are looking at union halls, churches, and restaurants. Your input is needed.
