National AFL-CIO has asked union activists to contact progressive congresspersons during the August recess. North Texans took the initiative to create a special event on health care at the Alliance/AFT union hall on August 21. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, who has devoted herself to health care reform, was the guest speaker.
