Stand with Peace Activists!
If you happen to be in Dallas around high noon on a Friday, peace activists hope you will join them at the Federak Building, 1100 Commerce in the downtown area. Hadi Jawad and other activists from the Dallas Peace Center plan to hold a vigil starting at 11:30 every Friday morning until the U.S. occupatoin of Afghanistan ends.
Young Geoff Cooper (pictured) was one of the newer people at the July 2 vigil. He is a student at one of the nearby universities. The banner reads "Stay the Course = more war!"
Such small but determined activities are taking place throughout the world. The money being poured down the maw of the war monster could very easily pay for jobs for all!
