Rally for Jobs and Fair Wages
President Bush has made the unconscionable decision to suspend the Davis-Bacon Act in areas of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. Davis-Bacon insures that government contractors will pay at least the local "prevailing wage" to workers. Yes, folks, that means Halliburton!

Please consider lending your voices and show your support by attending this important rally. Together we can stand shoulder to shoulder with our fellow workers and demand fairness in the reconstruction efforts along the coast. Scheduled speakers include, Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco, AFL-CIO President, John Sweeny, and the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

When: Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
