I can't hold our usual 2nd Wednesday meeting for November because I'm leaving town. But the need for "street heat" organizations like Jobs with Justice has grown immeasurably since the big money started buying out America's elections..

Unemployment Benefits Extensions Running Out

If the present Congress fails its responsibility, unemployment benefit extensions run out November 30
An estimated 2 million of America's 15 million unemployed workers will immediately lose all their income!
Anti-worker politicians will say there's not enough money, while they push to extend tax benefits to billionaires!

Retirement Benefits are in Jeopardy!

Governor and (non) candidate for President Perry and many major Republicans, including the supposed Speaker of the House, want to cut retiree benefits and extend the retirement age to 70!
Representative Warren Chisum of Pampa, who wants to be Speaker of the Texas House, wants to secede from Medicaid now!
Every time they make seniors work longer, they keep jobs away from younger workers!
Worldwide, especially in Greece and France, young and old workers are uniting to fight back.
