Unionists Get Busy on Elections

All over Texas, union people are volunteering to work on elections. They know that the 2006 elections will make or break America's ordinary working people on issues such as Social Security, public education, outsourcing of jobs, and the general welfare of all.

Some of them are putting their minds and muscles into building yard signs for union-endorsed candidates. Cindy Fitch, pictured on the left, is the expert in Dallas.

Sometimes, candidates like Carter Thompson (right) join Joe Hall and other union activists.

It feels pretty good to be working on the right side, when you know that there are so many problems. It beats heck out of just waiting for the next disaster!
