Bob Cash of Texas Fair Trade Watch is organizing protest activities against the Trans Pacific Partnership "free trade agreement" that is being negotiated in Dallas May 8-18. See http://www.citizenstrade.org/ctc/texas and RSVP please.
About 130 government representatives and over 600 corporate lobbyists will gather at the Intercontinental Hotel, 15201 Dallas Parkway, 75001, in Addison to negotiate what Bob Cash calls the "biggest, worst, and most secretive of the 'free trade agreements'" so far. This one will be much, much worse than NAFTA, Cash says.
The most important of the activities is scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, May 12, as a public rally at the Addison Circle Parkin Addison (map). See http://www.citizenstrade.org/ctc/texas and RSVP please.
A press conference on May 8th, a teach-in on May 11, and other activities are in various stages of planning. In the past, these "free trade" negotiators and local authorities have conspired in every possible way to prevent Americans from protesting; consequently it is absolutely essential to sign up for the event so that organizers can keep you up to date on flexible planning. See http://www.citizenstrade.org/ctc/texas and RSVP please.
